Beyond Dial Tone Voice Services, by Duke Smith

Traditional voice services are becoming more and more a thing of the past.  Many households have stopped using the regular land line in favor of a cell phone.  The migration of residential users allowed Rottweiler Security to implement its Mobile monitoring service with greater success than originally thought.  The added cost benefits to residential customers allowed for both services with a reduction of over $ 50 dollars per month to the household budget.

In the business world, Dial Tone services are quickly migrating to SIP services because of added features and the cost benefits.  There are a host of new features and service benefits that also come with the product thus causing customers to rethink their Dial Tone Provider and products.  Some of the features are:

  • Greater user Identity - If you are an individual that loves to leave the desk and go out of the office, the CID information of the caller follows to your cell phone.
  • Boomerang - Want to catch the call back to your desk once you have forwarded your phone to your cell phone, with SIP you can press a button and you have the call back on your desk set.
  • Transfer to other site offices - no more hook switch flash to transfer a call.  Calls move quicker to remote locations.
  • Multi Site, multi platform system - If you have multiple locations, they can function as one total system, one voice mail and one operator.
  • Application interaction - make that software that used to be a stand alone product into a fully functional application appliance.
  • Right Click Dial - when surfing the Internet and you want to dial the company, just right click the number and the call is placed using your phone.  Just lift the handset.  How about that for those calls to slow paying customers!
  • Better voice quality - Its hard to believe, but the voice quality is better with SIP.  Many have reported that when using Samsung SIP the quality of the conversation is better.

Being patient is a wisdom attribute and the early implementers of the product platform have taken the sting and pain away from other businesses that will soon follow, those businesses that follow will avoid the same pain as the early implementers.  Note:  Remember that the traditional security products will not or may not function after a dial tone migration.  They are often forgotten or may not even be connected when the new dial tone provider migrates to their service, a huge security issue.  Dial tone providers only ask for and only notify data vendors and telephone vendors.

This is a huge advantage to Rottweiler customers as we migrate ALL THREE platforms.  When it comes time to migrate, there is no charges to the customer if they order through Rottweiler and are a BACR member.  That usually is a savings to the customer of approximately $ 500 dollars, or even more!  For the cost savings difference, it might be a good time to upgrade to a newer system which takes advantage of those features with a 0% financing lease/purchase which is offered to BACR members.  Providing quality products at a cost savings to you is why the Business Advantage Choice Rewards program was established.

Rottweiler has been a Samsung dealer since the early 1990's and what I like about Samsung products are that the customer does not need to employ a SIP engineer to deploy SIP products.  Thus it protects the customer against technician and vendor hostage should the business decide that they no longer need the services rendered by the product provider.  My experience as a Samsung dealer is that most Samsung dealers are very responsive to their customers with no respect to the size of the customer, especially if you a customer with less than 10 employees.

With all the new SIP features, security solutions and cost saving benefits, Rottweiler has a great platform for you.
