After installing a phone system for a physician opening an office I asked the physician if he would consider Rottweiler Security for the installation of his security system. He stated that he would not be putting on in the office and that they do not have them in any of their offices. So I asked him one question, would he use a doctor who has all of his medical information, social security number, date of birth, place of residence and other private information if he did not secure or protect that information, he said no. Yet the public will walk into this office, or other clinic locations, provide all the information of their identity and the clinic will take no effort to protect that very information of the patient.
If I interpret this inaction correctly, until his patient has their information stolen, they will take no action. Why, because the value of someone other than themselves identity information is of insignificant value that it is not necessitate action to guard or protect it. Identity Theft has already affected over 10 million people in this country. I personally believe that a medical office should not be able to practice if does not have a security system. The cost to the victim for the loss is extreme and if I am not mistaken the biggest problem in the medical industry is the fees that are charged for services. This reminds me of another postponement in making of a decision by U.S. District Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow.
It is unfortunate that the delay of certain decisions can cost you more than you realize or were willing to invest for the procrastination in making an important decison like installing a Rottweiler security system. The following is quoted from the Associated Press; CHICAGO -- A federal judge whose mother and husband were shot and killed by a disgruntled litigant said Saturday that she looked into buying a home security system but that it seemed too expensive and "we just didn't do it."
After the crime had been committed, Lefkow and her children were again placed under the protection of the United States Marshals Service. I wonder how much that will cost? I also wonder who will pay the thousands of dollars for this service necessary for the protection of someone who admittedly acknowledges that because of their inaction's, it now would be necessary for the taxpayer to bear the financial burden of providing her with security but she was not willing to pay for it for her own family.
Don't get me wrong, I think that what happened to Judge Lefkow's husband and mother was tragic and extremely unfortunate. But if you are run over in the street because you did not look before you stepped into the street your decision has consequences.
The postponement of the decision for the installation of a security system had a price. Make sure you do not pay a similar price for inaction, get a security system today. They are very inexpensive and as someone who gets to talk to victims almost daily, it could save your life.
