Attempted Murder of Father and Son by Texting Drivers!

What are the odds that both your adult child and a parent would be involved in collisions from texting drivers?  Actually they are higher than what you may think!  Most insurance companies today state that 20% of all automobile accidents are caused by drivers driving and interacting with a cell phone and the losses are staggering.  State Farm states 43 billion per year!  I never gave it a second thought until two different drivers tried to kill my son and then another me.  At the time I knew nothing about the issue.  What I now have learned is that it is a much bigger issue that we are lead to believe.  What really made me steam is that esurance did not want to pay for the damages!

The odds are even worse if the driver is a teenager under the age of 18Teenage fatalities were only 4054 in 2008 which was the lowest on record.  I think that is attributed by laws that restrict times of newly licensed drivers and prohibition of passengers by driving teens.  Some states have banned the use of cell phones.  But the issue is that banning the use of drivers who become impaired while using them does not reduce the rates of fatalities or accidents according to the Institute of Highway Safety.

Our solution to save teenager lives comes in a small package called the Rottweiler Driving Coach © ™.  For a small fee it restricts use to or access of emails, speed dialed numbers, calendars and much more while driving.  Save your teens life by a simple device.

Finally the legal system is catching up to the problem in Gwinnett County.  With this driver the start of things to come by being charged with a crime.  Typical legal services for a criminal charge costs somewhere above $ 5000.00.  If it is proven that the crime was committed, it could cost as much as $ 20,000 or more in legal fees and if convicted will now cost the tax payers for housing those convicted of texting driving.  Once this has been tried it will set legal precedence throughout Georgia and potentially nationally.
