On August 10th the Lakewood Food Mart on McDonough Boulevard in southeast Atlanta. Six days later a gas station on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard was struck by the same armed robber. In both cases, the employees are forced to the ground and the register is emptied of all of its cash.
The third robbery took place Monday morning at a gas station on Metropolitan Parkway. According to police sergeant Warren Pickard, “Even though the store attendant was complying. He struck the attendant in the head and also the eye causing serious injuries.” This sign of escalation has spurred the release of video footage and images of the robber in an attempt to identify the man.
