When you are in the military and you work in communications, you are the first in and last out when it comes to the deployment cycle. The military can't work without communications and neither can a business function when they can not communicate. Reviewing the activity since the beginning of September indicates to us that we may have taken an improvement in our economic situation.
Over the last 6 weeks we have seen a dramatic increase in new sales of business telephone systems, wire installations, fiber installations and requests for quotes for card access systems. Our biggest indicator that the Atlanta economy is changing for the better is the adding of a telephone or network cable for the office needed for the computer the new employee will use once hired. This seems small, but really is the biggest factor yet.

Sure enough last night on ABC news, they reported that the economy grew this last quarter for the first time in more than a year. I wonder if they paid for the advice. Either way, I know the citizens of Atlanta will. They also report that the City of Atlanta might try to sell the jail, any takers here?

If this proves to be true that the Atlanta economy is improving, our citizens are the ones that should take the credit for that improvement and not the elected officials in Washington D.C. which will try to take the economic turn as their victory. You can certainly tell the character of an individual when they point to themselves as the one that is the reason for everyone Else's success.
