One of the many challenges of raising teenagers in America today, in my opinion, is the lack of boundaries. Both the Dr. Phil and the Jerry Springer shows illustrate well that teenagers often are left to any direction that they would choose. That is OK if you choose basketball over soccer or track verses band but the lack of boundries becomes a dangerous threat not only to the teen but to the community when it goes unchecked. Often teenagers experiment with perscription drugs, alcohol or even venture to an unsecured gun cabinet.
Reportedly, Alcohol is a leading cause of death among youth, particularly teenagers. If you think that this could not be an issue with your teen, think again. Every day, on average, 11,318 American youth (12 to 20 years of age) try alcohol for the first time. If you think about it, when was the first time you tried alcohol. I'd be willing to bet that your parents were not there and that they had no idea that you were trying it for the first time.
Rottweiler Security has a solution to these areas and many more. We specially design security notification systems that will notify you when the area has been opened. The notification is sent by email and monitoring is notified as well. How's that for an extra set of eyes in your home. Rather than expose your child to the added areas of severe risk to their lives, why not overt the risk in your home. As a nation, we probably never will illuminate the need to store prescription drugs in our homes, but we can be notified if someone has opened the cabinet.
As with all areas of access, the gun cabinet that stores the weapons often is locked by the home owner. Unfortunately the teen often knows were the key is kept. Even having the gun with a safety lock in the trigger does not preclude the access to the key when the teen knows where it is. Our solution, secure the cabinet with an email notification telling you of its access.
Rottweiler has numerous device activation solutions that will secure your home, notify you of the event and monitoring to protect you while you are sleeping from fire and carbon monoxide leaks. Rather than have a basic system that does little more than notify someone of a break in and is used for security, step outside the box to a security company that will protect your family and notify you of the events as they happen.
